Raw Matcha bars

If you follow my Instagram stories then you’ve probably know that I have a bit of a matcha latte obsession at the moment! It’s a really (delicious) alternative to coffee!

One serving of matcha is the nutritional equivalent of 10 cups of regular brewed green tea – which we all know is good for us! It’s packed with antioxidants, is rich in fibre, chlorophyll and vitamins such as vitamin C, selenium, chromium, zinc and magnesium!

I thought I would take my latte obsession one step further and create a little treat to go with it, so here are my raw matcha bounty bars – I’m going to try them again soon but covered in chocolate!

Ingredients:

  • 70g coconut flour
  • 60g desiccated coconut
  • 50g coconut oil
  • 35g chickpea flour
  • 100g dates
  • 1-heaped tbsp. matcha powder
  • 3 tbsp. date syrup (or maple/honey)

Simply blend all of the above ingredients and shape into either bars or balls! I press mine into a baking tray first before cutting into bars.
