It has been a while since I have done an update on my current training. My last event was the London Marathon, and I have nothing currently coming up until the end of summer (potentially).
Since finishing my month of Class Pass, I’ve still been making a more conscious effort to add a few new things into my training of swim, bike, run. Throwing in the odd class at Core Collective, Gym Class or 1 Rebel, plus this weekend I am heading to the Shard to do yoga.. so cool!
I am not really someone who only trains for events, since the marathon I have continued to tick over with a long(ish) run on a weekend, and a 6-8 mile run mid week. The biggest update to my training recently has been a weights programme that I have decided to do – I am not taking part in the leg session’s as I feel like I get enough of that on my run’s and bike sessions.
I have just finished week one which is the Volume week, tons of reps to destroy my arms, split into shoulders, back and bi’s, chest and tri’s. In all honesty I have decided to do this primarily for vanity reasons.. I want some beautifully sculpted shoulders please! I am also happy that this will compliment my swimming and make me stronger in the water.
I can’t quite believe it but my Placement year is about to come to an end, I will be back in yorkshire and reunited with my favourite training buddy (my Dad), with ALOOOOOT of time on my hands to get some great training in, safe to say I am going to make the most of it!
